| |
The Company
A newly acquired Western Digital subsidiary introducing a new storage technology.
The Marketplace
Network Attached Storage (NAS)
The Challenge:
The Connex N3000 was one of the first standalone Network Attached Storage systems introduced to the small to medium business marketplace, requireing extensive prospect education on the concept, benefits and functionality of NAS.
Our Role
Through extensive sales literature, white papers and a five minute completely computer generated video, Marcom Engineering equipped the Connex sales force with compelling and easy to understand tools that convinced the marketplace of NAS advantages and benefits. The same messaging continued through a comprehensive Web site and marketing presence.
The Results
After dramatically increasing Connex’ value, Western Digital sold its subsidiary to Quantum Corporation. Quantum utilized Connex technology and intellectual property to springboard its SNAP Appliances division, which is now a subsidiary of Adaptec.
