The Challenge:
After Western Digital Corporation revised its strategy to focus on its core business and divest its software divisions, an effort was initiated to increase the valuation of the SANavigator subsidiary through brand and image development.
Our Role
Marcom Engineering developed a multi-point program that constructed the SANavigator identity for maximum impact to the press and acquisition prospects, while defining a new category of software tools to prospects and analysts.
New product collateral, white papers and case studies were introduced in a steady, orchestrated stream that elevated SANavigator's visibility for six months. SANavigator's messaging was further expressed on a complimentary Web site.
The Results
McDATA purchased SANavigator for $29.7M, exceeding Western Digital's initial valuation.
